DESIGN MUSEUM

We visited St.Baafskathedraal before Design Museum. "Het Lam Gods" has been stolen from this cathedral years ago. Firstly teacher gave a card has a image and we tried to establish a connection between this image and something in the cathedral. It was so creative and enjoyable experience for me so when I will be  a teacher I can use this activity with my children.

When I entered the cathedral I impressed. Because statues were so realistic and fascinating. Especially colored windows seemed so beautiful with sunlight.

Then we visited to Design Museum of Gent. We had a paper with some questions about museum. I had never seen a design museum before so this visit was very interesting for me.  I liked everything but especially a table made of books was so beautiful for me . There were many different things made of glass, metal, wool, wood and porcelain. I saw lilttle toys in the museum and I learned children come to the museum and they were organizing some activities. I think it is so useful for children.
I realy liked this museum and I want to share some photos with you :)

COMICS

The last session was so enjoyable for me because we created our comics. I think we can apply this activity in our class with children. I'm sure that children will love that. Firstly we divided groups and we chose a object. I chose a penguin and I drew a ice-field for my penguin. Then we changed our papers and we drew new something for new object. Finally we created a comic using our drawing. I think this activity was so enjoyable, creative and educational.

This is my own comic :)

I like so much comics and I read a comic magazine every week. It's name is "Uykusuz" and it's very famous in Turkey. Especially I admire to writer of "Sandık İçi". His name is Ersin Karabulut and he writes and draws his own life. I think his life is so funny. When he was teenage he lived a lot of funny and interesting experiences. I have a book of him and I brought it Gent because when I read it I feel like I'm at my home.
