IMPRESSION 2

   Hi!
At the beginning of the lesson, we talked about puppets, Pierke Pierlala and puppets festival of Ghent.
We learned diffirent tehniques about art. Firstly, we drew a flower branch with charcoal. It was very interesting and enjoyable experience for me. I think children likes draw with charcoal because it's so easy.

Secondly, our teacher told about history of Ghent and he asked from us to make a lot of historical things with clay. But we had to make it in a short time. So this experience was stressful a little bit but I was relieved when I finished working with clay. I learned history of Ghent and how can I make art with different materials.

And then our teacher told to us how can we use paper pulp. We have done a puppet with paper pulp. It was very enjoyable and creative exercise for me. We will paint puppets when they dry. I think this practice improves children's creativity.

My puppet is a man who listening to music and he has got a cool smile :)

I like art lessons so much. Because I learn new and difficut techniques and materials every lessons. I look forward to next lesson :)

See you later...

IMPRESSION 1

Art is very important for people to improve themselves. I think creativity is the most important thing that needs to be important to children.  I believe I can do this only with art. So it is very important for me to understand and describe art.

This course was very interesting and enjoyable for me. After first lesson I thought like, "Fortunately, I came to Gent and I am an erasmus student." Because our courses in Turkey are boring and we usually don't go out from the classroom. Through this course I can gain different perspectives. I think art sessions will be enjoyable and useful so much.

I want to know, how can I  adapt art education for children? So I hope, we'll do activities on this topic in the coming weeks.
